Black men in public space

This article is about the experiences of a young African American that has recently graduated from college and how the color of his skin has an effect on his social life and to some extent his personal life. The first incident he suffers for being black was when he was walking in a dark street and when a woman saw him she panic and ran from him, because black people had a reputation for being robbers or thugs. This event changes our characters life and possibly many other African Americans in the 60’s due to racial discrimination. Also, there are some instants wen the main character got in trouble with the police just for the fact that a black man was in an office looking for some personal belongings. This is a huge problem and t one that is still hunting our society fortunately not in the same way.

                This story makes me sad and mad at the same time because we still live in a society that is constantly surrounded by stereotypes and even discrimination towards minorities. But I’m positive that future generations will leave racism behind and instead build a good future for generations to come. And i really hope that in the near future people of color dont have to worry about discrimination anylonger.
